It was a magical evening for the audience at Northern Ballet’s heart-warming adaptation of Charles Dickens’ classic at Norwich Theatre Royal tonight.
And all it took was a mean old man and three terrifying ghosts - creating the perfect tale to warm even the coldest of hearts this festive season.
The story focuses on the miserable Ebenezer Scrooge (Sebastian Loe) who is visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve in an attempt to make him change his ways.
Bringing to life this literary classic, the cast firmly infected everyone with Christmas fever. The ghosts kept audiences hidden behind their programmes while the spectacular sets brought the Victorian era to life.
Highlights of the show included the badly treated clerk, Bob Cratchit (Javier Torres), who both amused and delighted the crowds, Tiny Tim (Leo Spencer), who put on a tear-jerking performance, and Scrooge himself, who performed as if he stepped straight out of the novel.
