Boyband JLS are set to get teenage girls screaming on the second night of the festival, with the big vocals of solo singer Jessie J bringing the weekend to a close as the headline act.

Rapper and singer Example is the star name for the Saturday night, following a set from DJ Fresh, the man behind two of the biggest chart hits of last summer; Louder and Hot Right Now.

Around 25,000 music fans packed into the showground for each day of last year’s Sundown, which was headlined by the likes of Olly Murs, Pixie Lott, Labrinth and Chase & Status.

It was just the second year of the festival, having started out as the Norfolk Spectacular in 2011, when Example also performed and proved a big hit, alongside the likes of Alexandra Burke, Professor Green and N-Dubz.

Sundown will be held on Saturday, August 31 and Sunday, September 1 this year - with more performers still to be announced.

Sundown Festival spokesman, Dion Clements, said: “With the huge strides taken by Sundown Festival in quickly establishing itself as one of the UK’s best live music events to end the summer season, Sundown 2013 is set to expand even further on previous years.

“Example absolutely smashed it as part of the line-up two years ago, to the extent we all felt a little bad for the artist that followed in the running order, so this time he will headline the first full day of Sundown.

“Jessie J has been the single most requested artist, by Sundown fans, yet to appear, so we’re absolutely ecstatic about bringing her to the Sundown main stage to headline the Sunday.”

JLS look set to be the big attraction, having succeeded with five number one singles and four top-10 albums in the UK since finishing second on the X-Factor in 2008, and return to Norwich after a successful Carrow Road gig in June 2011.

While Jessie J has equally become a household name after her chart success saw her become one of the judges on the BBC’s hit talent show The Voice.

This year’s Sundown will include the addition of a second outdoor stage, Stage 2, which will focus on house, garage, dubstep and drum & bass music.

Hosting Stage 2 on the Saturday will be electro act Moda Black and Hospitality, the live event arm of drum & bass label Hospitality records, will host on the Sunday.

Mr Clements added: “With our unique mixed offering of the top urban, pop and dance acts, Sundown caters for a massive range of tastes in the music spectrum, bringing together a truly diverse music audience for one huge weekend.”

All ticket types go on sale at 10am on Friday - but only tickets booked in the first 48 hours will be at last year’s prices of £29.50 for a day ticket, £55 for a weekend ticket or £90 for a weekend ticket with camping.
