Show director Julian Taylor has said he is confident this year’s visitor numbers will beat last year’s figure of 84,000.
Hailing the two-day event as a “brilliant success”, Mr Taylor said he was “absolutely thrilled” with this year’s show.
He said: “I’m confident we will reach 85,000 plus visitors and I’m hopeful we will get more than that. We will not know the final figure until we hear back from supermarkets how many tickets they sold.
“It’s been incredibly busy, we have even filled some of the overflow carparks.
“Everybody has thoroughly enjoyed the show and it’s been wonderful to see all these young families about.”
Chief executive Greg Smith said: “There is a record number of livestock from beef and dairy cattle to some of the rarest breeds in the world.
“There are new displays such as the heavy horse musical drive demonstration, which will feature some of the largest and most beautiful horses in the world, which really adds a traditional feel to the show.”
