  • I queued at the Theatre Royal from 7am and I can assure you that the tickets DID get sold on line - there were 300 and only about 30 were sold to the 200 people waiting in the queue

  • Rather surprised I have been deleted for disagreeing with Lucy with regard to if MM is one of the best loved comedians in the UK,my comment seemed to move the debate along a tad, maybe this comment will be launched into a black hole in cyberspace as well

  • I have recently finished reading Michaels biography and to get where he is today was VERY difficult for him. From what I read he worked soo hard to be who he is today and it took A LOT of courage too. He was told a lot that he wasnt good enough and took years of free performances before he even saw 1p. I think anyone whos willing to stick at something they desire like a carreer deserves everything Michael has today.

  • I'm intrigued to know what Lucy said....clearly it was highly inflammatory and offensive and thats why it has been removed from the thread. Either that or she had used words with more than one syllable which had confused the journalist responsible so much their only option was to hit the delete button!! I think we should be told... ;)

  • @Melvyn - Michael McIntyre doesn't appeal to me either but I'd say Lucy is justified in saying so because Michael is clearly very, very popular. He regularly sells out O2 arena, has a top-rated show on BBC1 and enjoys massive DVD sales. For those that enjoy his humour, this is a fantastic opportunity to see him in [in my opinion] the best venue for stand-up in Norwich. Looking forward to seeing Richard Herring there in April. :)

  • Melvyn, Lucy can justify in saying that Michael McIntyre as an opinion is "one of Britains best loved comedians", which is shared by many others. Personally I prefer Frankie Boyle. Who floats you boat Melvyn? The fact of the matter is that it's fantastic news that we can get the chance to see top acts in Norwich.
