Broadcasting legend Sir David Attenborough is heading to Norwich next month.

The world-famous voice behind so many nature documentaries will be at Jarrolds with Errol Fuller to sign copies of their new book, Drawn From Paradise.

The pair’s book traces the natural history of birds of paradise. Mr Fuller is an artist, writer and an expert on natural history.

They will be in the London Street store’s book department from 3.30pm on Thursday, November 1.

However, only books that have been bought at the event or accompanied by a Jarrold receipt will be signed.

The last time Mr Attenborough visited Norwich, in June 2011, around 300 people queued to get signed copies of his new book at the time, New Life Stories, at the Waterstones store in Castle Street.

  • Not sure why anyone would compare Sir David Attenborough to 'Brucie', both have been on tv for some time but that's about it. Sir David is a legend for animal and plant documentaries, travelling the world, seeing first hand the decimation one animal brings to all others, no-one to replace him that is as good at doing that. Maybe you're right, take him off the tv and give him a post to handle population control, habitat, balance how we live here in the UK, which is not scaleablesustainable, to one of balance with nature and resources, bit late for the UK but if any land in the world needs turning around the most, that would be here, and if we could, we would again be able to show the rest of the world the way forward.

  • That also applies to Albert Cooper , almost certainly another Norton " comedy " creation and ventriloquist's dummy. Let's have everyone limited to one login , one account and stop the multi-identity trolls.

  • 'prove creation'? Proves evolution I would say, when it comes to the big question, I'm with Attenborough, Darwin, Dawkins and Hawkins all the way, I read a letter in the paper about aethists, and that religious person used the word evolved in their rant about why we all need religion, slightly ironic, no thanks, there's enough dictatorships already.

  • ***He's one of the head honchos of 'Population Matters' who would like to see all the poor brown people of the world die out or never be born,...***. A libellous insult directed at Attenborough from the increasingly desperate Norton ( nrg , bookworm , Joanna Grey et al ) in an attempt to wind people up and generate some synthetic controversy. Pitiful.

  • NRG..***nuff said about this idiot!!!***. See you are having a busy morning Norton ( aka Bookworm , Joanna Grey et al ) , posting away like mad. Accusing Attenborough of being racist in a desperate attempt to generate a response from readers is really scarping the bottom of the barrel. Time to ditch nrg Norton ...nothing left in the tank i fear.

  • One of my earliest TV memories is Attenborough on Zoo Quest and the Komodo dragons. Jason is right, he is a respected scientist and TV legend. BBC natural history programmes may have dumbed down to Discovery Channel level but this does not detract from Attenborough's value as a presenter, his reputation or integrity.Brucie though, Bookworm, has been an out of date TV nightmare since I was a kid. I never dreamt in the 60s that his awful hack act would still be on TV over forty years later.
