There are a lot of exciting and unusual events taking place in the fine city this weekend, here’s a look at just a few of the things you could do:

• Faces of the Fash Pack Live, Saturday, January 28, intu Chapelfield, 10.30am-4.30pm

This Saturday, the ground floor of intu Chapelfield will be transformed into a runway as Faces of the Fash Pack LIVE takes over the shopping centre. Part of Norwich Fashion Week 2017, Faces of the Fash Pack is a modelling competition created by intu Chapelfield and Sandra Reynolds Model Agency which offers aspiring models aged 16 and over the opportunity to take part in Fashion Week, sharing the catwalk with professional models and gaining invaluable experience. The event is free to attend and plenty of entertainment will also be available for those not interested in pursuing a modelling career as there will be mini-shows taking place throughout the day and the expert team from Sandra Reynolds will be on hand to share tips and give advice.

• Norwich FoodHub Swing Dance Fundraiser, Saturday, January 28, St Thomas Church, 7pm-11.30pm

Join Norwich FoodHub at St Thomas Church for a night of Swing Dance to help raise crucial funds for the organisation. The evening is set to feature live performances from Ruby & The Ruff Cuts as well as a set by DJ Sing Tonic and a two course meal that will be served courtesy of Norwich FoodCycle. Guests should also expect a raffle and auction featuring local exhibitions from up an coming artists. Tickets for the event are £10 each and can be purchased online in advance or on the door.

• Busted, Night Driver UK Tour, Saturday, January 29, Nick Rayns LCR, 7pm

Noughties pop rock royalty, Busted will be bringing their brand new tour to UEA this weekend as they play two intimate shows. The reunited trio - comprised of Charlie Simpson, Matt Willis and James Bourne - will be performing a range of their classic hits such as What I Go To School For and Air Hostess as well as tracks from their third studio album, Night Driver. Tickets for the show can be purchased online and cost £32.45 from UEA Box Office.

• Murder, Margaret and Me, Saturday, January 28, Maddermarket Theatre, 2.30pm and 7.30pm

This weekend is your last chance to catch Murder, Margaret and Me by the Norwich Players, a show which tells the story of the unlikely friendship that develops between crime writer Agatha Christie and actress Margaret Rutherford during the filming of the first Miss Marple movie. The show will be performed at 2.30pm and again at 7.30pm at the Maddermarket Theatre and tickets start from £8 and range to £12.

• The RSPB Big Castle Birdwatch Weekend, Sunday, January 29, Norwich Castle, 10am-4pm

Now in its fourth year, The RSPB and Norwich Castle Museum are hosting The RSPB Big Castle Birdwatch which will feature a range of family fun-filled activities including Bird-spotting on a bird trail, a VIP tour by Norwich Castle Museum Curator Dr David Waterhouse of some of the museum’s fascinating natural history galleries, balance like a blue tit or a goldfinch challenge and nature themed arts and crafts. The event will cost £2 for adults with children under the age of 16 going free. Some of the activities will also be chargeable.
