Suffolk racer Gareth Burnett claimed the prestigious honours in the Seaman & Flockhart vintage race at Snetterton after recovering from a poor start.
As Burnett spun the Alta's wheels on the wet surface, fast-starting Freddie Harper shot into the lead with his Indy Roadster, but the American-built car was soon swamped by his European rivals.
Burnett quickly weaved his way through the pack to take charge with Simon Diffey giving chase and a fine last lap brought him close to the back of the leader.
The outcome of the Seaman, Williams and Donington Mug race was decided at the start when the Bugatti Type 35B of Julian Majzub out-powered Patrick Blakeney-Edwards to the opening corner and the latter, faster in the corners, was unable to dislodge his rival, despite attempts at every corner.
However, Blakeney-Edwards did triumph in the Allcomers Scratch race after overcoming fast-starting Edie Gibbs' similar Frazer Nash with Dougal Crawley leading home the Team race.
Mike Preston was unable to hold back a charging Christopher Mann or Tim Kneller in the Pre-War Sports Car encounter while a late pass by Nick Hayward-Cook on Hugh Birley gave him the Handicap honours.
The opening 500 race saw a fine scrap between George Shackleton and Stuart Wright, the pair swapping the lead several times before the former triumphed while in race two, without Wright, Shackleton took an easy victory.
Victory in the wet opening Ferrari Classic race went to Tristan Simpson as Nigel Jenkins narrowly failed to unseat Tim Morridge in a late surge for third.
In the drier second race Jenkins was more comfortable and powered his way to the front, displacing Simpson by half distance.
Lewis Smith was robbed of victory in the opening Intermarque race on Saturday when he collected a late puncture to the delight on Chris Brockhurst. However, later in the day Smith got his revenge with a dominant victory.
Alex Sidwell was able to celebrate a double victory in the Tin Tops encounters although Malcolm Wise, with his all wheel drive Escort Cosworth, pushed him close in the early laps of race two.
Andrew Wareing was also able to repel all in the pair of Motorsport School races with his potent Lotus Europa as Brian Arculus triumphed in the FISCAR encounter with Anthony Ditheridge taking home the Archie Scott Brown trophy and Julian Grimwade the VSCC Sprint honours.
