Vauxhall Mallards cricketer Olly Stone hopes for chance to shine with England Under-19s in South Africa

Norfolk’s Olly Stone will today hope to stake a claim for a place in the England Under-19s team for the opening Test in South Africa.

The tourists have a two-day warm-up match in Cape Town against a Western Cape Invitation XI, starting at 8am GMT, ahead of the first Youth Test, against South Africa U19s on Sunday, also at Cape Town.

Vauxhall Mallards pace bowler Stone, 19, who last year earned a professional contract with Northamptonshire, is part of England’s 15-man squad for the trip, which includes two four-day Tests and five one-day internationals.
