Taverham Hall School’s U13 and U11 table tennis teams represented Norfolk in the Zone Finals of the National School Team Championships – involving county winners and runners up from seven counties – in Bedford.

The U13s reached the semi-finals, where they were beaten by a strong Bedford Modern School team.

But the U11s qualified for the Regional Finals – which will take place in Blackburn this month – after beating Burbage Junior (Leicestershire), Cliffedale Primary (Lincolnshire) and Riverside Middle (Suffolk) to reach a final where they lost a close encounter with Croyland Primary from Northamptonshire.
