You can understand the dilema that Hoots faced, we are in desperate need of points to survive, the last thing needed is more defeats, possibly heavy defeats. Ask yourself the question, "What would you do?" Rudd and Steer are undoubtably good but to expose them to the Premier Div. sharpshooters at this stage of their career would knock their confidence if things went wrong, the fans would be on their backs as well as Hoots and they could be ruined for the future plus City could be back in the Championship. No this is a shrewd move which hopefully will lead to the lads getting playing time in a lower division away from the limelight and pressure with fear of failure. With Ruddy injured and if Bunn received an injury City would have been very exposed.
