The county junior badminton season ended with the Harrod Under 17s Inter Counties Tournament played at Nottingham University.
The Thorpe St Andrew U14 girls team represented the Eastern Region at the National Schools Badminton finals held at Center Parcs, Nottingham. Over 22,000 competitors had participated in the earlier rounds so it was a superb achievement for the Thorpe girls to get this far.
Having lost four and drawn two of their opening six matches in Premiership B of the Inter County Championships, Norfolk knew they were facing an uphill struggle to avoid relegation in their final three matches played at the Surrey Sports Park in Guildford, and so it turned out to be. The opening match of the weekend was against Leinster which they lost 8-2, although five of the 10 games went to five sets.
The county finals of the Center Parcs National Schools Championships were held at the UEA Sports Park.
The county second team brought their season to a close, losing 9-6 to the Staffordshire second string.
