The 14-year-old Norwich School pupil spent much of last term competing in international competitions around Europe – but the early part of 2011 proved difficult due to a broken thumb and serious illness, which prevented her from racing to the best of her ability.

However, Jazmine managed to put those issues firmly behind her to win the slalom event at Les Houches, as well as taking second place in the giant slalom – where she was beaten by just 0.09 seconds in a field of 61 competitors from all over Britain.

Her excellent results meant she was the fastest overall girl ski racer in the competition, for which she was awarded the Telford Cup.

Jazmine will now focus on gaining selection for the British children’s team, with trials taking place in January 2012 and is looking forward to a successful winter season on the slopes in between her studies.
