Norwich City’s on-loan striker James Vaughan would consider a permanent move to Championship promotion hopefuls Huddersfield.
Vaughan, quoted in Yorkshire prior to last night’s latest league game at Peterborough, admitted he is loving life at Huddersfield after notching three goals in seven appearances ahead of the trip to London Road.
City chief Chris Hughton made it clear last month he feels Vaughan still has a part to play in his plans after sanctioning a season-long switch in a bid to secure the 24-year-old regular first team football.
Vaughan, however, would be prepared to consider the prospect of cutting his City ties permanently after an injury-hit career in Norfolk following his permanent switch from Everton.
“When I came here I wasn’t wanted at Norwich,” he told the Huddersfield Examiner. “I’m enjoying my time here and if the chance came up to stay then I’d definitely look into it.”
Vaughan started just one league game in his first Premier League season for the Canaries in the 2-0 defeat at Blackburn last April after knee ligament surgery.

Steady on Steady on! I think Vaughan has a bit better pedigree than Cody. Hoots has stated that Vaughan is "going nowhere". I think if James were genuinely wanted by Norwich he would want to stay. If he stays fit but still wishes to leave, City would at least want their money back. £2million?

I hope he has a great season there, and then if they want to keep him then they need to find 6M if not he gets a real shot with us. I think that would be a good result for us and Vaughan.

What a non story. Vaughan tells a local Yorkshire paper he's enjoying scoring goals and it gets blown up beyond proportion. I think we all know about the commitment to accuracy that second string local journalists have. Just look at the cant when George Osborne (may his bits shrivel) paid for a ticket on the train!
