Norwich City defender George Francomb has joined League Two side AFC Wimbledon on a month-long loan deal.
Speaking after his man of the match performance against Scunthorpe United on Tuesday night, the 20-year-old right-back said: “The plan this season is probably to go out on loan again and get some more games.
“It’ll probably be limited in the league for me here this season, but I can go out and get some more first team experience and just carry on in my career.
“It is a difficult one. You never know, I could get the odd game here – but I can’t rely on that. I’ve got to go out and get men’s football. I played up in the SPL last season and I’ve got to look for a step up from that. I think I’m going to stay in England this year and hopefully go to a club that I can get a good run of games with.
“Obviously the club being this high up now, moving into the Premier League, they’ve got the funds to bring really good names in and it’s hard for us youngsters.
“But we’ve just got to keep working hard, go out and get games on loan and hopefully in a couple of years we can then be future stars for Norwich City.”

Spot on, kevin, I said the same on another board. Also, surely George is better than L2?? Hope he either comes back to cover for a certain Sicknote Scot @ RB or finds at least a L1 or maybe Champ team to get games with. Not feeling too confident of the shape of things to come just now. Hope I`m wrong. :-(

Yet another crazy decision, why didn't this wait until Whittaker was fit?
