Norwich City must wait until late October for their first Premier League meeting with former boss Paul Lambert and Aston Villa - as games against London opponents dominate the early weeks of the 2012-13 season.
The Canaries kick off their campaign against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday, August 18, with their first home match against Queens Park Rangers seven days later.
Indeed, the first four league matches - and six of the first eight - pit new boss Chris Hughton’s men against teams from the capital.

Well spotted, DocOhNo! It`s a bit like schoolboys pretending they`ve lost their homework books because they`d been practising spelling `rude` words in them. Happy memories...... Probably quite recent memories for the Ar-chant scribblers, as they only got past the 6th form aged 23.

I see there is no space for comment on the article about Hughton being excited by the new fixtures. Is this because the initial headline referred to City boss Paul Lambert? Censorship to avoid embarassment!!!!

Hey Billy - if the Binners are so successful why is it that nobody goes to see them?

There was a fire once at Portman Road, the chairman phoned up to ask if the cups were safe from damage and the fire service replied that the fire had not spread to the canteen...

Is the Texaco Cup the one that used to be the Walt Disney Dish? Trolls to the left of me, Villans to the right. How bad are your own fans` forums to make you need to come here? I suppose Ar-chant make you more welcome than Norwich supporters are? Shame!

Forget billy is here. He'll eventually retreat back to his hole. He's nothing more than a simple minded attention seeker. Most Likely married to his cousin, with six kids and on the dole...lol

One statistic that does endure the test of time - No matter what has been acheived by either club, you can always be sure ITFC fans forever stand in the shadow of their Norfolk cousins. Their constant pessimism of their own shortcomings is only surpassed by their ability to throw scorn on others

Good to have some attractive fixtures to look forward to in the Premier Div., unlike the club down the road, what have they to look forward to? Didn't take the first doom and gloom merchant to come out of the woodwork.

No point of having the fixture list, half the games will change day and kick off time .

I would have thought the early fixtures versus Spurs and Newcastle more worthy of special mention, given Chris Hughton`s connections with those clubs. Ar-chanters really must get over their PL obsession. Chris is our manager now, thank God.
