Norwich City make England Hockey Cup progress

Norwich City recorded an excellent 4-3 victory over Premier A side Chelmsford to make progress in the England Hockey Cup.

City handed a debut to James Turner while the match also saw the return of Chris Perry after injury and Ollie Boesen’s first appearance of the season.

It proved to be a very competitive match, although with a 15 man squad City were able to maintain their tempo against 11 man Chelmsford. The Essex side took the lead on three occasions, each time being pegged back by City, who took the lead with 15 minutes remaining. City’s goals were scored by Jez Elliott (2), Charlie Horn and Stu Wardle with Elliott getting the winner.
