Thing is Dubai, Holty only cost us £400K and while we got him from a L2 club, we were only in L1 ourselves at the time, and Holt had played higher than that for Forest, too.. £5.2million is a LOT of dosh for a player who has not yet performed above L1 standard.

Perhaps a 'Supergrass' song might suit... ^_^ Why would Huddersfield want to sell or trade their top scorer anyway? I had a Huddersfield fan mate back home that said they ran the club as a money making business, if they sell him I guess he was right...

I had to look up "Make way for Noddy" It's pretty funny and there is an obvious tempting rhyme...but you couldn't do that to our new man.

I agree Dubai, we do need another striker and 2 full backs. 5.2m is a lot for someone with no proven goalscoring record in the Championship let alone the PL, but I suppose Holty proves it can be done. Hopefully, McN and Hoots are working on it. No doubt the boys at Ar-can't will be last to know.

I see, and there is no rioting in our inner cities this year due to the Olympics. Hmmm, maybe there was a overseas encouragement scheme sponsored by the Government to export this product this year. Now, can we please sign Rhodes and 2-3 Quality defenders ?

I see that Blackburn's pre-season friendly against NEC Nijmegen has been called off following a riot involving the travelling fans.

Getting the inside scoop on the latest transfer deals is hardly something that is likely to come out of a session in the Woolpack. What is happening with Jordan Rhodes - Huddersfield just rejected a £5.2m bid from Blackburn. Surely he wants to play in the PL ? Come on Chris, get the chequebook out - and while your at it, we still need 2 or 3 QUALITY defenders too ! OTBC

While England`s FA has silly old fools in blazers running it, Scotland`s has silly old fools in blazers & kilts. Over what extravagant dinner did they dream this one up? Almost beyond belief.

Goodness me, I hope our guys don't get crocked in this rather meaningless and badly timed friendly ! Whittaker is already crocked and will miss the start of the season - as well as this 'silly' game. Lets hope they come through unscathed. OTBC

Don't count on it, Ghana. I will be surprised if GH gets called up and, though it would be good to see GH in a England shirt, Heskey will probably get the call before he does.

Agree about the timing bluelight. They did the same thing last season, and we had less involvement - which of a sign of the good progress our squad is making. I'm always pleased to have internationals in the team. If the GB Team boys are a bit tired, maybe Holty will also get considered this time??

Never heard anyone complain about weekend sweetoilings before, haha. I understand the frustration though! I remember losing emails that'd taken me ages to type with no drafts or anything. Was a nightmare, what started as long thoughtful emails turned into angry one liners...
