The national newspapers’ views on Norwich City’s 2-1 win over Everton.
Sunday Mirror: “It was Kamara, making only his second substitute appearance, who took most of the plaudits as Norwich recorded their first league win for over two months.”
The Mail on Sunday: “It was a remarkable, unexpected end to a game that Everton had controlled for long periods after a first-half goal by Leon Osman, only to lose concentration.”
The Observer: “The Canaries can feel a little more secure on their Premier League perch, while Everton’s hopes of a top-four finish have surely come irreversibly unstuck.”
The Sunday Telegraph: “While Everton were in despair, this was a euphoric, uplifting finish for Norwich, who have suffered so many failures to score in recent weeks.”
The Independent on Sunday: “Confident enough to wave to the crowd as he warmed up on the touchline, Kamara’s self-belief was evident in his first active involvement.”

Mike from the young ones - no. Who was the guy who played Constable Reg Hollis in The Bill a few years ago? Dead ringer for Hoots and similar personalty too.

KentAnglian, I have a feeling it was you who first mooted that Hoots spoke like "Mike" from the Young Ones - it wasn`t my original observation for sure, but it`s so right! Vyv was the punk & Rick the Mayall character? Stumped there. Yes, a bit of whimsy after that joyful result can`t be a crime, can it?

Brilliant reference to 'The Young Ones', MB. The little guy was Mike and CH is a dead ringer. What about Calderwood growing his hair to play Neil. Any thoughts for Vyvyan and Rick? Before any complaints, we had a great result and deserve a bit of whimsical stuff.

I bet the screenplay is being written now! Starring KK as himself, Hoots played by the guy who played the little bloke in "The Young Ones". Barbara Streisand a Cameo part as a singing Delia.

A musical indeed. Though "The Book of Mormon" is just opening up in the West End, the sequel could "The Book of Hughton" where a refugee from Sierra Leone becomes a legend when he Jazz-Dances his way to keeping the local team in the Premier League.

The Independent has it - "Self-belief". KK has it in buckets and I have the feeling that even the dourest, dullest of Assistant Managers will not be able to knock it out of him. In tandem with our Holt of Oak let`s get that same self-belief right thro` the squad!! OTBC.
