Norwich Rowing Club crews head for Henley Royal Regatta

Two crews from Norwich Rowing Club will be racing at the Henley Royal Regatta in Oxfordshire today.

After some tough qualifying races both the club’s junior and senior men’s crews qualified to race in the regatta in two different challenges.

The junior quad will be racing at 12.20pm against Molesey Rowing Club in the Henley Fawley Cup challenge. The crew consists of Tom Scales, Seb Matthews, Edmund Youngs and Great Britain rower Steven Parsonage.

The senior crew have successfully qualified for the Thames Challenge Cup and will be racing at 4pm on the Henley Reach against Imperial College.

The crew members are Richard Murphy, Sam Bence, Ed English, Sam Wheatman, Carl Shiplee, Graham Sparkes, James Hooton, Alex Fixtgerald and Imogen Beecham (cox).
