Your PinkUn: Which players should be allowed to leave Norwich City, and who do you want to sign?

11:22 14 May 2014

Archant

This Saturday’s Pink Un will be all about you – the readers, the fans. Today we ask, which players should leave Carrow Road and which players would you like to see join Norwich City?

Let us know which members of the current Norwich City squad you would like to see leave Carrow Road by voting ‘In’ or ‘Out’ in the window below.

Who do you want to see the Canaries sign in the summer? Email your player wishlist - and reasons why - in 200 words to chris.lakey@archant.co.uk

Who should be the next Norwich City manager?

Let us know your Norwich City player ratings for the 2013/14 Premier League season

Where did it all go wrong for the Canaries?

All this week we are running a PinkUn fan takeover - asking you the fan to give your views on a number of different subjects involving the club you love.

Every day we will pose a series of questions on this website, each with a different theme. We want you to take part in the poll and send in your overall views and thoughts.

The results will then be used in a special PinkUn supplement in the EDP and Norwich Evening News next Saturday.

  • Try to keep them all until New manager assesses situation To me Whittaker, Johnson, Wolfwinkel Elmander can go. I would work hard to keep Ruddy, both Bennett, Olson SnodgrassFer Tettey and Hooper midfield was bad so Hoolahan and Fox worth persevering Becchio needs a chance too I am assuming we keep the younger ones Murphy's Redmond Rudd

  • Please vote here for next week's poll: Favourite pie of the season: favourite contestant in the half time zorb challenge: which music should NCFC run out to: favourite archant poll so far... Etc etc. All would be as pointless as the above.

  • Btw, can anybody advise me how to view the histogram\pie chart of in\out results? I found it immediately I`d `voted`, but now cannot see how to view results without voting again. All this technology is overwhelming for some of we crinklies.

  • Good spot there, LincsCan - Assombalonga. Only chatting about that yesterday with some of the usual suspects in the Renderer`s Rump. Mattias, I hardly ever pick on your grammar etc, as you are a Good ol` Boy! One of the best on these boards, no doubt. Anyway, in your case it`s only a bit of teasing. I only turn nasty in self-defence. On footy, work can start as soon as the new management team is in place. OTBC.

  • Apart from Redmond who showed some real ability ,this squad should be dismantled. Collectively they showed very little ability and absolutely no fighting spirit in trying to avoid relegation. Game after game they just did not turn up. Why should this same bunch suddenly find the drive to gain promotion for the Championship. I feel that with this squad the Championship may become a relegation battle again.

  • We don't need to sell anyone just yet. Get a PROPER experienced manager in first and then start doing the homework. What we need is a team that will win 100+ points in the Chump next season !

  • dont know why we ever signed Elmander , more than just being big ,and occasionally capable of holding the ball up is required in the fast moving all-action world of the Premier League, im afraid the lad is a dinosaur , was no good at Bolton either , mobile pacy forwards now required , Le Fondre of Reading, Burke of Birmingham , Dobbie of Blackpool , ,,shame we let Chris Martin go , showing his true worth now

  • Lincs - yes Assombolonga may well be the kind of player we need in the Championship. He could make that step up OK. Mind you if by any chance Darrell Ferguson gets the job the above may well travel with him! I hope the new manager will see fit to try to retain Hoolahan as we badly need a creative midfielder. I am sure he will also see the folly of playing players out of position, none more so than Snodgrass on the right which has proved totally pointless in more ways than one! Above all, as Darren Eadie says, we need a manager who can inspire and who can mould the individuals into a coherent team (something Hughton singularly failed to do). We also need leadership on the pitch.

  • LC, I was not trying to rubbish any of the players as I think they are all more than capable of doing well in the Championship, however there are none in the squad that are must keep players either, Ruddy apart. I like Olsson as a left back and Snodgrass for his determination but even then there are probably as good if not better players out there, even in the Championship so I would wait until a new manager is in place and then let him decide on who he wants to keep and who he wants to offload.

  • I spent most of this season posting that this squad of players were better than their results under CH so will not now go down the road of rubbishing them. Also bear in mind McNally says they all have pay cut clauses in their contracts to cover relegation and none have get out of jail card to play. Agree therefore that the new manager decides who goes and who comes in. I will however make one suggestion regards strikers. Give RVW a loan spell to rebuild his confidence and sign Assombolonga from Peterborough. The lad is hot and I have a feeling paired with Hooper we would enjoy what was missing last season - goals galore.

  • Pointless putting loan players on this list as they will be gone by now anyway as none were worth paying big money for. As others have said, lets get a new manager in place then leave it up to him on who he wants and who he does not. More importantly we need a decent target man as well as a decent midfielder who can win the ball as well as create chances for the striker. Ruddy apart there is no player in our current squad who is irreplaceable that is for sure.

  • Nobody in, nobody out until we get a manager in place who can look at the squad and make decisions based on what he wants to achieve. We've all got players we prefer to others, but this season was bad for all involved so the blame is at the door of all players and not just one or two, However, we didn't buy this squad because they weren't good players, so hopefully the new manager can get the best out of them.
