A new Norwich City contract and the winning goal against Middlesbrough – yet it wasn't quite the perfect day for Tom Trybull, as he was left sweating over another injury niggle.
The German midfielder celebrated signing a new three and a half-year deal with a sublime winning goal just before the interval, that made it five wins from seven Championship games for Daniel Farke's in-form Canaries.
But it's been an interrupted first season in England after a hip problem in the autumn and a back issue ahead of his return to City's starting line-up at the weekend – one ended prematurely by a swollen ankle.
'I've already been asked that it was going to be a perfect day, but I'm a little bit sad because I couldn't play 90 minutes,' admitted Trybull, who was taken off on the hour mark.
'I was out for a few weeks with my back and now with my ankle. So I'm a little bit sad with this situation right now, but I'm happy for the team, for the club and for the crowd that we won our home game.

'It's a little bit swollen so we will see in the next few days and I hope I can play next week at Derby. We will try to give everything this week and it will hopefully get better.
'It's frustrating for sure, because I think I'm in a good shape and the weeks before my back injury that I came back, we won some games and I think I played some good games.
'And again this day was OK and I played some minutes. I hope it's not too bad so I'm looking forward to the next few days.'
Trybull's third goal this season was a peach to once again earn a 1-0 success for Farke's men – only this time, in front of their own fans alongside a first home clean sheet in the Championship since a goalless draw with Bristol City back in September.

And no doubt Rudy Gestede's needless first-half red card also played its part in City completing a 1-0 double over Boro this term.
'For sure the red card helps us in the game but also before that, we were good and showed some good quality on the ball – although the chances were missing a little bit,' added Trybull, with City now tasting defeat just once in nine games across all competitions.
'A goal before half-time is always important and also for our self-confidence, and I think it was a good sign for the whole stadium that we were still good in the game. In the end it was a good result and it helps us a lot.
'I just tried to shoot and because I was a little bit annoyed that we were always playing around the defence of Boro, that's why I decided to shoot.
'For sure it was a good goal but I'm happy for the team that we can go on with our run from the last few games. We've won a lot lately so I'm happy because we work hard every week, every day, and just 1-0 is still enough – so it's three points and a home win. And that's nice.'
