Norwich City boss Neil Adams has bolstered his coaching set-up with Tony Parks filling the goalkeeping vacancy at Carrow Road.

Parks had six seasons at Tottenham as a goalkeeping coach following a playing career which included winning the 1984 Uefa Cup at Spurs, and will join on a full-time basis with immediate effect after former goalkeeping coach Dave Watson recently completed his move to Southampton.

Adams, speaking to the club’s official site, said he was delighted to bring in Parks, who worked closely with France’s World Cup stopper Hugo Lloris at White Hart Lane and last year was awarded the goalkeeper coach-of-the-year at the FA Licensed coaches’ club awards.

“Tony is a vastly experienced coach who played at the highest level with Tottenham,” he said, with Parks having already started working with John Ruddy, Declan Rudd and Mark Bunn. “I saw Tony work during his time at the FA and was very impressed with what I saw, and he will fill the hole left by Dave’s departure perfectly.”

Parks worked with the FA until 2008, when he was approached by Harry Redknapp to move to White Hart Lane, before leaving following the arrival of new Spurs’ boss Mauricio Pochettino.
