Norwich City manager Chris Hughton “looked at” Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Mark Bunn over the summer.

The Lancashire Telegraph has reported that the Championship club rejected a bid in the region of £500,000 for Bunn from the Canaries and do not expect him or Paul Robinson to leave Ewood Park.

At today’s pre-match press conference ahead of Norwich City’s Premier League opener at Fulham Hughton said: “Yes he’s one of a number of players we’ve looked at over the summer.”

Bunn is currently sidelined having suffered a recurrence of a hip injury he has suffered from for most of the summer.

Norwich City assistant manager Colin Calderwood, Bunn’s former manager at Northampton, made an inquiry about signing the young goalkeeper in July 2007 when he was manager at Nottingham Forest.
