Our latest Norwich City player watch followed Borussia Dortmund loanee Felix Passlack as he made his Canaries debut against Stevenage.

The 20-year-old Germany youth international played the whole game at right-back as Daniel Farke's team beat their League Two opponents 3-1 to progress to the second round of the Carabao Cup.

Here's how his night unfolded...

3 – Stevenage keeper Seny Dieng kicks towards Passlack, with Kurtis Guthrie towering over him, but he eases the forward under the ball and show good control before calmly finding Moritz Leitner.

4 – Intercepts James Ball's cross from the left and clears long, the ball comes straight back but Louis Thompson intercepts.

7 – Nice control of a Leitner pass to keep an attack alive, Tom Trybull then tries to play him clean through but Dennis Srbeny doesn't realise and gets in the way.

9 – Leitner plays him down the right and wins a corner off left-back Hunt.

12 – Leitner floats a ball over the defence to the right but Passlack is just offside. Keeper again kicks in his direction but Christoph Zimmermann is close by for the second time to win the aerial duel.

14 – Pushes forward and tries to dink a ball over the top for Srbeny but gets it wrong and plays through to the keeper. Again the ball is kicked towards him and this time fouls Guthrie but City survive the free-kick coming in from the left channel.

20 – Caught late on halfway by Guthrie and wins free-kick.

30 – Grapples with Scott Cuthbert on the left and brings him down in a tangle of legs from behind.

37 – Tight on Guthrie as he receives the ball on halfway to force the forward back into his own half.

43 – Guthrie flicks the ball over him easily, Trybull just about clears to him and then Passlack hits a poor pass infield to give possession away.

54 – Bursts forward looking to complete a one-two with Srbeny, who loses the ball, Thompson eventually has to bring down Guthrie to halt an attack with Passlack out of position.

58 – BOOKED – Charges forward but Leitner plays a cross behind him, Guthrie eases him off the ball and charges clear, the German catches him and the Stevenage player chucks himself to the ground after stepping into his path – then calls for a booking, the referee obliges, to the fury of Daniel Farke and his coaches.

61 – Recovers possession in attack after Kenny McLean's cross is charged down, crosses and wins a corner, showing good persistence.

72 – Awful late tackle from Guthrie leaves him in a heap, City's coaching staff are furious again but his ball forward has McLean clean through, who can only shoot against the keeper's legs. The referee does come back to book Guthrie though.

77 – Fine control to stop Zimmermann's deflected pass going out for a throw.

89 – Nice cross to recycle a cleared free-kick ends in Onel Hernandez flashing a shot across the face of goal. Then has an air-shot trying to shoot after a corner but persistence earns a kind bounce and Teemu Pukki fires in for 3-1.

90+3 – Digs out a clearance to McLean under pressure in his own box.

90+5 – McLean with a strong run and pass to the right but keeper Dieng just beats Passlack to the ball.

Verdict: Busy debut for the Dortmund loanee. Size left him vulnerable aerially but otherwise defensively solid and kept pushing forward. Grew into the game to just about survive with his head above water but needs to learn lessons quickly if he is to survive in the Championship.
