Norwich City writers Paddy Davitt and Dave Freezer hosted our latest pinkun.com Norwich City debate on Wednesday lunchtime.
With just over a day left to go in the summer transfer window and City’s sluggish start to the Championship season there was plenty to discuss.
The proposed move for Newcastle United defender Grant Hanley was top of the agenda, and whether there was anything in the speculation touting Portugal international Nelson Oliveira to Championship rivals Reading. Jaap Staam’s public courtship at the weekend sparked a fresh wave of gossip over recent days while Alex Tettey is another who has been linked with a potential Carrow Road exit ahead of Thursday’s 11pm deadline.
On the pitch there is plenty to ponder for head coach Daniel Farke during this international break with last weekend’s 4-0 league defeat at Millwall sparking a predictably negative fallout. The treatment of Russell Martin by sections of the travelling support at the Den was one topic discussed along with what is City’s best defensive line up moving forward.
