Michael Bailey reports from Carrow Road as Norwich City make it two wins and six points in just four days with back-to-back Championship victories.

Despite a rocky opening and Tom Cairney’s stunning opener, Lewis Grabban’s brace and another delightful goal from Bradley Johnson sent most at Carrow Road home happy.

What better way to prepare for Saturday lunchtime’s East Anglian derby against Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

City boss Neil Adams and Rovers manager Gary Bowyer also give their verdicts on a busy and controversial evening.

  • We looked much more sound in defence following the change at half-time. Vital now that Bennett stays and Martin is restored to his proper position. Good to see something of the flowing attacking football promised by NA. Hope for more on Saturday!

  • Adams also bears a strong resemblance to John Bond.

  • Congrats to Michael Bailey. It is so refreshing to hear a sports journalist commenting on a match in such a measured and civilized manner. No jingoism, no judgementalism but still interesting. I can almost forgive him that dreadful pogon. Almost... Terrific contrast with the bombastic Butler on Radio Partridge. Neil Adams not only looks like a cuddly version of Lee Mack; he sounds like him too.
