Once a Blue, now a Canary. Jordan Rhodes' season long loan move to Norwich City produced a predictably adverse reaction across the border from fans of the club that discarded him in his youth.
Rhodes was warmly welcomed by the pocket of Norwich supporters who watched his second half cameo at Lincoln City on Tuesday night, just hours after his move from Hillsborough was confirmed.
The 28-year-old looked sharp and keen to make an early impact, with an exquisite touch setting up Louis Thompson to seal the friendly victory at Sincil Bank.
The former Ipswich Town trainee scored once in 10 appearances for the Blues before being deemed surplus to requirements after a series of loan spells at Oxford, Rochdale and Brentford.
Rhodes will get a swift chance to return to Portman Road when Daniel Farke's squad make an early Championship derby visit in September.
