Needing 11 points to be sure of a place in the last eight, Norfolk gained four bowling points by restricting Leicestershire to 193 for eight at Market Harborough.

Norfolk were sharp in the field with four run outs, while Ritchie Davies claimed two for 52.

Martin Pearse (84no) and John Lund (83) put Norfolk on track with an opening stand of 170, before the visitors completed a nine-wicket win in the 43rd over.

Norfolk O60s completed their group campaign with a trip to Wembley to play Middlesex.

The hosts struggled to 155 for eight, with newcomer Derek Dewson and David James getting two wickets each.

Pearse departed early in the Norfolk reply, but Andrew Scholey (26) and Trevor Farrow (62no) pushed them towards their target. Davies (52no) then joined Farrow in a century stand from just 12 overs as Norfolk won in 32 overs.

Norfolk will play Yorkshire away in the quarter-finals on Tuesday.

The hosts batted first and put on 121 for the first wicket, before debutant David James pegged them back with five wickets.

Norfolk were left with a victory target of 226 but never threatened to reach it, despite James top scoring with 30 and they closed on 174 for seven.
