Dereham Town kept their winning run going when a brilliant strike by Aaron Kay sealed the points at Ship Lane.
Romford wasted an early corner before full-back Ottley forced Andrew Wilton into a fine near-post save from his low angled drive in the seventh minute.
Seymour then delivered a wind-assisted free-kick across the face of the Dereham goal with Reynolds unable to finish at the far post.
As the home pressure continued Wilton excelled again with a superb save at the feet of Richardson after Reynolds’ wayward shot had fallen to him.
Luke Tuttle sent Sam Borrer away from just inside his half, but the Dereham midfielder failed to make a firm connection with his 25-yard drive and Ngoy saved.
But the Magpies went in front when Shaun Bammant’s drive was blocked, only for the ball to fall to Danny Beamount who headed home from close range in the 34th minute.
Richardson miscued from 20 yards when well placed before seeing another effort deflected narrowly wide as Dereham were rather fortunate to be ahead at the break.
Kay hit a fierce 30-yard free=kick that Ngoy managed to grasp, but the home keeper was then replaced by Omad because of injury.
The game was lacking any real pattern with the wind making play difficult.
Ryan Hawkins made a surging forward run but shot wide before a Kay free-kick nearly caught out Omad.
But Kay did finally get on the scoresheet, with three minutes remaining, when he gained possession 35 yards out and took one touch before unleashing a powerful drive that swerved into the top corner of net.
