Huddersfield boss Simon Grayson has been forced to dispel fears Norwich City loan striker James Vaughan had suffered a recurrence of the knee problems that have so far blighted his City career,
Vaughan returned from a two-game absence for the Terriers to play 67 minutes in their Championship win at Birmingham on Saturday before being withdrawn.
“This isn’t any recurrence of a knee injury or anything like that, it’s a groin strain he’s picked up and played through probably for the two previous games,” said Grayson.
“Vaughany has not missed a day’s training while he’s been here. Players pick up niggles regardless of any injury record that they may have, so we want to get him back fit, we want him for the rest of the season because he is an asset to us.”
