Grant Holt is staying at Carrow Road after agreeing a new deal with Norwich City.
The Canaries skipper has signed a new three-year contract, just weeks after handing in a transfer request.
Holt, 31, put pen to paper earlier this afternoon on a new deal committing his future to the club until 2015.
Holt said: “I’m really pleased we’ve agreed things and that I’ve got a three-year deal which gives me and my family a bit of security.
“I do appreciate where the club was coming from in terms of the process we’ve gone through to get to this point. Now I’m just really keen to concentrate on getting back to work with the rest of the lads and concentrating on having a good pre-season and getting ready for the start of another season in the Premier League.”
Norwich City boss Chris Hughton said: “I said when I first arrived that talking to Grant was a priority as what he has achieved for Norwich and what he brings to the squad is there for all to see.
“It’s great news that he has signed a new contract and I’m really looking forward to getting down to work with Grant and the rest of the players when we return to training next week.”

DocOhNo - or Ward Matron as you are known as - Brilliant - what a life you lead. DubaiCanary - your forgetting the 19 games Bent was out injured. No contest. What has the cost of a player to do with anything? Thats the cost of a England International and the reason why Holt is only worth 400k. You can only dream of spending that kind of money. You have to think why only West Ham came in for Holt and not even the likes of Stoke where he would fit in perfIectly. I look forward to the start of the season, i think you're going to get found out, but we shall see. OTBV

Grant Holt cost £400K - 17 Goals in 2011-12 - Darren Bent £24M - 10 Goals in 2011-12 who has the better return on investment ? Holt has out-done Bent before and will do it again this season !

I confess I didn't think CH could pull this off. Clearly he is a wasted talent in football. He would far better deployed brokering peace deals in Afghanistan or Palestine! An excellent outcome, not so much because he's our best striker (I am not convinced he will continue to be), but because of the immediate message it sends to teamates and outsiders "Hands off, we're in this together for the long haul!"
