Player ratings for both Norwich City and Fulham following their Premier League clash.
• Norwich City
6 John Ruddy: Let down by the men in front of him. One-man barricade before Fulham forced open the floodgates.
5 Russell Martin: Tough assignment trying to subdue Fulham’s potent leftside. Caught out for Fulham’s fourth.
5 Ryan Bennett: One excellent sliding block foiled Mladen Petric. Croatian returned the favour with a back heel for the fourth.
5 Michael Turner: Not a debut he will look back on with any fondness. Culpable for the penalty concession late on.
5 Marc Tierney: Fatal attempt to set an offside trap was ruthlessly punished by Damien Duff for the opener.
5 Robert Snodgrass: Early signs of intent. Allied to defensive discipline, but overrun with the rest of Norwich’s midfield.
6 Jonny Howson: At least showed a desire and willingess to try and turn the white tide. Limited chance to get on the front foot.
5 Bradley Johnson: One late strike tested Mark Schwarzer but he lost the engine room battle with Mahamadou Diarra.
5 Andrew Surman: Thankless task trying to support Grant Holt. Managed it once in the first half and it produced City’s best chance.
5 Anthony Pilkington: Peripheral influence with City on the back foot for majority of the game.
5 Grant Holt: Fed a diet of scraps and hopeful balls forward. Sporadic service into the opposition penalty box.
Subs: Steve Morison (for Surman) 5, Elliott Bennett (for Snodgrass) 5, Wes Hoolahan (for Holt) 5
• Fulham
6 Mark Schwarzer: One of the easier afternoons of his career. Smart stop from Andrew Surman.
6 Sascha Riether: Less promiment than fullback partner on the opposite flank. Never really tested on the outside by the Canaries.
6 Aaron Hughes: Solid Premier League performer. Uncomplicated.
7 Brede Hangeland: Threat aerially from set pieces. Relished the physical challenged posed by Grant Holt. Key to the fifth goal.
7 John Arne Riise: Class act. Kept Robert Snodgrass quiet and triggered Fulham’s first with a crossfield peach.
7 Damien Duff: Appears to love inflicting pain on the Canaries. Almost identical goal to March’s previous fixture.
7 Mahamadou Diarra: Fulham’s midfielder enforcer. Sat in front of his two centre backs and nullifed any threat centrally.
7 Mousa Dembele: Quality operator. Injects touch of class into Cottagers’ midfield. Architect of third and fourth goals.
7 Alex Kacaniklic: Looks a prospect. Quick, skilful and fearless. Fulham used him religiously during first half. Cool slot for goal.
7 Bryan Ruiz: Mobile, cunning forward. Already appears to have forged a great understanding with his new strike partner.
7 Mladen Petric: Two-goal debut for the Croatian. Clever flick cut Norwich open again for the fourth. Handful.
Subs: Hugo Rodallega (for Petric) 6, Patjim Kasami (for Duff) 6, Steve Sidwell (for Ruiz) 6

I thought Tierney was our worst player by far! Drop him next game to teach a lesson!

These ratings as usual are quite honestly shocking. Duff 7 Howson 6, Duff who looked like scoring every attack yet gets one mark better than a very ineffective player? "7 Mladen Petric: Two-goal debut for the Croatian. Clever flick cut Norwich open again for the fourth. Handful." Obviously not enough to play a key role in 3 goals only 7. Tierney 5, he was out of position all game, and couldn't pass yet gets the same as the other defenders. This all from a Norwich fan who was at the game, albeit in the neutral end, (only place to get tickets), please Pinkun take a step back from the club and provide some accurate critique, honestly it is needed.

It's not just the old keyboard Dobby. It's also the antiquated ideas, the twisted facts, and the fact that you can't spell English words, let alone our Manager's name! "Be cauce" you "no" "i'm" "wright". If you don't want to be seen as a Troll, stop putting Trollish postings up!

I think the Norwich board would rather be in the championship than spend the money needed to stay in the premiership be cauce they no that they will still get a full house at match if they went down

Avid fan for many years but we have got used to better under Lambert and now expect the club to step up and do their bit now that fans are buying season tickets by the thousands even though TV is messing the fans about by changing start times every few weeks. Far more effort required from the players. Yes it was HOT but this didn't deter Fulham. No excuses just not good enough skill wise or effort wise. Embarrassing for fans.

Dobby, you MAY have a point but I can't see past the point that you can't spell the manager's name right. That shouts "Troll" to me, either that or green ink.

But as all city fans no that said she would step down if some one came in to buy this club but acording to her there was no body out there wich was a load of rubbish there have be lots of clubs been taken over. There was no way Delia Smith was going to let her control of Norwich go .

Until Delia smith and her board are gone from this fantastic club and fans Norwich will never stay in the Premiership for long the board live in a fantasy league if you think your can compeat and stay in the best league by buying players that are not ready or up to it for this league . Foreign players are the best and have far more skill than British players with out them this would not be the best league in the world .

This has got to have a quick response. We could be almost cut adrift after the first 4 games.

No more 4-5-1 please. Holt just looks isolated. We really need a good on the deck player running off him. I hope we can get someone in before deadline day. Otherwise where is this biggest ever transfer budget that McNally referred to!? As importantly we need extra additions at centre back. Barnett and Ward are not competent cover. And speaking of competency, we need to cut out the shambolic defending of last season. We did so well last season as our forward play bettered or offset the defensive errors. If we’re playing less attacking then that’s simply not going to happen this year.

NORWICH SEEM TO LIKE GETTING STUFF ON THE GAME OF THE SEASON. IF CHRIS HOUGHTON DON;T BUY A CLASS STRIKER NOW SO WE DON'T HAVE TO RELY ON GRANT HOLT LOOKING AT THE MATCH AGAIN FULHAM THEN WE HEADING BACK TO THE CHAMPION SHIP. BUT TRYING TO GET DELIA SMITH AND THE BOARD TO PART WITH THE SORT MONEY NEED IS GETTING BLOOD FROM A STONE.YOU NEED BETTER SIGNINGS FROM THE LOWER LEAGUES TO STAY IN THE TOP FLIGHT THE BOARD NEVER LEARN
