With sprinkles of rain most days, delays were not too onerous and with only one late evening, finals day arrived with each event’s finals left to play.

There were seven Association of British Tennis Officials umpires available for the matches and the majority of the players enjoyed the experience of having an umpire seated in the chair during their matches.

Norfolk players were well represented during the week and many reached the finals and Cromer were represented by several of its members, seven of whom reached finals.

In the Norfolk open events, Thomas Fisher beat Harry Weeds in the men’s singles and Maria Andrews of Norwich beat Laura Mineards from Northampton in the women’s singles.
