Norwich City won on Tyneside for the first time in 50 years in February 1988.

In 1962 Norwich lost home and away to Newcastle in Division Two but beat them 5-0 in the FA Cup, with Terry Alcock scoring four goals.

People who have played for both clubs include Gary Megson, Ruel Fox, Darren Huckerby and Craig Bellamy.

Our first photos are from a Division 1 match played on the 22nd of November 1975, which Norwich lost 1-2, ending 10th in the table.

The second match, played in Division 2, dates from 19th September 1981, with City winning 2-1 and earning promotion at season’s end.

The third match, from Division 1, was played on 25th of March 1989, City losing 2-0, but ending up 4th in the table.
