Adam Idah kickstarted Celtic's title-winning celebrations after opening the scoring in their 5-0 victory over Kilmarnock on Wednesday.

The on loan Norwich tapped home inside the opening five minutes at Rugby Park to start the celebrations in the away end, with Idah kissing the Celtic badge in celebration.

Idah darted to the back post to connect with Matt O'Riley's low cross to convert his eighth goal in 14 matches since making the move north of the border.

Brendan Rodgers gave Idah the nod ahead of Kyogo Furuhashi, with the Japanese international struggling for form in recent matches.

Daizen Maeda, James Forrest, and a brace from O'Riley secured Celtic's 54th league title and their 12th in the last 13 years.

Idah was replaced by Furuhashi on 62 minutes, and his strike was his first in three matches. Former Norwich striker Marley Watkins spearheaded Kilmarnock's attack.

"It's hard to put into words," Idah told Sky Sports. "You can see the celebrations and it's an amazing feeling.

"I know how much all the boys and staff have put into to achieve this - it's a fantastic feeling. Like I said when I signed, I want to help the team as much as I can and score as many goals as I can.

"To be fair to all the boys, they've done a fantastic job tonight and they helped me to get the goal. I'm so happy to get the win and to get the title."

Reports in Scotland have suggested that Celtic are likely to maintain interest in Idah over the summer, with a fee of £5million being discussed.

The Bhoys have one more league game against St Mirren at Celtic Park to celebrate their league title before an Old Firm Scottish Cup final against Rangers. Idah will then return to Norfolk ahead of City's pre-season to assess his next options.

David Wagner described Idah's loan at Celtic as going 'perfectly' after the striker pushed for a move away from Carrow Road in January. Serie A side Hellas Verona saw a loan-to-buy offer rejected before Celtic swooped for his services.

Norwich are set to review his future this summer, with the Canaries in play-off second-leg action against Leeds United on Thursday evening at Elland Road.
