Norwich City can secure their spot in the Championship play-off spots tomorrow - but will require a favour from rivals Ipswich Town in the process.

The Canaries welcome Swansea to Carrow Road knowing a victory would take them on the cusp of securing their top six spot, with a superior goal difference to nearest challengers Hull making it as good as done.

But they will require Ipswich to avoid defeat at Hull to ensure it is mathematically confirmed providing they get three points, with the pair playing in the Championship's late kick-off at the MKM Stadium.

Victory for Norwich would take them to 75 points - the maximum that Hull can muster in their final two matches. They will start the day seven goals better off than the Tigers as well.

Ipswich have plenty to play for themselves as their push for automatic promotion continues. With Leeds in action on Friday night away at QPR, they are likely to know what is required in order to keep them in the hunt.

A Hull victory would mathematically take it to the final day, even though it would take a dramatic swing in goals for them to bridge the gap providing City are able to beat Swansea.

If Norwich slip up to Luke Williams' men, then it opens the door to some last day drama - with Hull then able to close the gap ahead of their final game away at Plymouth Argyle.

Liam Rosenior, buoyed by their midweek win over Coventry that has all but taken them out of the play-off equation, has pleaded with supporters to make it a moment to remember as they bid to make one last push for the top six.

“I think it’s a benefit for us to be playing at 8pm for many reasons,” he told the Yorkshire Post.

“We can sit back and see what happens around us. But it also gives us an extra few hours and every hour counts now in terms of our recovery.

“We have got to fill the ground and make it the loudest stadium in the country. It’s our cup final.

“It’s heart-on-sleeve time and at the moment, every time this group of players have been asked a question in terms of performance, they are consistently putting in very good performances. Let’s not make it the last one [home game], let’s keep going.”
