A foster carer and retired postman died from traffic collision injuries.

Two separate inquests were opened into the deaths of foster carer Linda Jarvis, 57, from Albermarle Road in Norwich, and retired postman Alan Eaton, 78, from Uplands Way in Diss, at Norwich's Carrow House today.

Senior coroner Jacqueline Lake said Mrs Jarvis was involved in a crash on November 27 2016.

She was later admitted to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where she died on February 22 this year.

Ms Lake said the collision caused Mrs Jarvis to suffer 'complex medical conditions' and died as a result of linked conditions.

A full inquest will take place on August 13.

Ms Lake said Mr Eaton died at Cambridge's Addenbrooke's Hospital on February 24 after being involved in a collision.

His cause of death was brain injury due to multi-organ injury due to a road traffic collision.

A pre-inquest review will happen on June 27.
