Attleborough homes decision deferred by Breckland Councillors

Councillors have deferred a decision on plans for 375 new homes on the edge of Attleborough.
Breckland Councillors had been due to determine the Taylor Wimpey scheme off London Road on Monday that had been recommended for approval by officers.
However, councillors deferred the decision after asking for more information on the proposals for 375 homes on 10ha of land and 12,000sqm of employment floorspace on almost 4ha of greenfield land to the south-west of the town.
The plans are set to be discussed again in the New Year.
A similar application was rejected by councillors in July because of highway concerns and because they came before the conclusion of the Attleborough and Snetterton Heath Area Action Plan (ASHAAP), a planning blueprint for the town, which is set to receive 4,000 new homes and around 2,000 new jobs earmarked for Attleborough by 2026.
