Two sets of famous children are needed for a Cromer production of the singalong musical the Sound of Music next year.
Children’s auditions for the young members of the van Trapp family are scheduled for the beginning of December.
The Cromer and Sheringham Operatic and Dramatic Society is looking for 12 youngsters in all for the show which will run for a week at the Pier Pavilion.
The society says the production offers plenty of opportunities for aspiring actors and actresses.
And it is particularly keen to encourage boys (playing ages 11 and 14) to come along and audition for the parts of Kurt and Friedrich von Trapp along with younger girls (playing ages 5 and 7) to audition for the parts of young Marta and Gretl.
The show runs from May 25 to June 1 which is half term.
Rehearsals will be at Cromer Junior School, starting in January.
Any young person with a love of acting and singing, and having fun, who might be interested in auditioning for a part, is being asked to consider auditioning - but needs to do it in writing and with adult consent.
All children and teenagers who wish to audition must be registered beforehand.
To register and find out more about the times, commitments, and also what the society is looking for in the Von Trapp children are available from the website www.thesoundofmusic.uk.net.
