Yarmouth men on ‘equipped for theft’ charge

TWO 28-year-old men charged with going equipped for theft are due to appear before Great Yarmouth magistrates today (Friday, July 13).

The pair were stopped and searched by police in Southtown Road in the early hours of yesterday.

Marius Guzys, of Nelson Road Central, and Denis Mironcev, of no fixed abode, were detained and taken into custody at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre after police stopped a Rover car and seized items including fuel containers and pieces of hose.

Both were interviewed and subsequently charged with going equipped for theft and have been held for court today. Guzys has also been charged with driving a motor vehicle without a licence and driving a vehicle without insurance.
