A Wymondham man will appear in court next month charged with offences as police in Norwich continue to clampdown on bike thefts.
Louis Crawford, 32, of White Horse Street, is accused of stealing two bikes from racks in the city centre on St Stephens Street outside M&S on Monday, September 16 and Tuesday, September 17.
He was arrested earlier on Thursday morning by police after officers searched an address and recovered two stolen bikes.
Crawford has been released on bail with conditions not to enter Norwich, as defined by the inner ring road, except for pre-arranged appointments and not to be in possession of pedal cycle.
He will appear at Norwich Magistrates Court on Friday, October 11.
It comes as police in Norwich continue with Operation Fusion – a high-visibility campaign aimed at reducing bikes thefts.
Last month police launched a crime prevention video called #ProperLockIt, demonstrating the speed and ease that bikes can be stolen if they are not secured properly.
