A would-be burglar was caught trying to break into two homes in Great Yarmouth.
The incidents happened in Beatty Road between 4am and 4.30am last Thursday (October 4) when a man got into the garden of one property and opened a ground floor window which was already ajar.
The suspect was using a torch which disturbed the householder, causing the offender to run from the scene.
He was then seen trying to open the back door of a neighbouring property before running off again in an alleyway between Seymour and Perebrown Avenues.
Detectives would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or noticed anything suspicious around the times stated.
Anyone with information can call Det Con Gavin Rivett at Great Yarmouth CID on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
