Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was sexually assaulted close to Mousehold Heath in Norwich.

The woman, in her 30s was walking up Gurney Road with a female friend when, between the junctions of Heathgate and Britannia Road, she was approached by a man.

As he passed the victim he reached out and grabbed her left breast and then continued walking. She lost sight of him near the junction to Pockthorpe Gate.

It happened at about 3.45pm on Thursday, March 6.

The man is described as white, 6ft and stocky. He had a round shaped face with a ruddy complexion.

At the time of the sexual assault he was wearing a fluorescent yellow jacket, half length trousers and a salmon pink hooded top.

PC Lee Marriner, from Norfolk police’s Norwich North safer neighbourhood team, would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or has information about it.
