Wheelchair stolen from disabled Gorleston granddad found

A WHEELCHAIR stolen from a disabled Gorleston granddad has been found abandoned.

The black Traveller electric wheelchair was taken from Barrie Kersh’s home in Cherry Road between 11pm on Sunday and 9am on Monday.

It was found in bushes in a field off Beccles Road in Gorleston last night (Tuesday) and returend to the 83 year old, but police are still investigating the theft.

Mr Kersh, a granddad of two who suffered a stroke some years ago, was left upset by the theft of his chair which he said he had stored under a porch near his front door for two years without any problems.
