Beady eyed volunteers are wanted to join a north Norfolk speed watch group and help tackle the danger caused by speeding motorists.

The Aylsham Community Speed Watch (CSW) team carries out checks in and around the town and its surrounding villages, and records the speed of motorists who exceed the national limits.

It is now keen to recruit more volunteers to join its ranks to help increase the number of roadside checks and raise the awareness of speeding issues in the area.

Motorists caught speeding are sent warning letters advising them of the consequences.

Officers from the local policing team will be at Aylsham Farmers’ Market on the morning of Saturday, February 1, giving advice and information to anyone interested in getting involved.

Anyone interested in volunteering who cannot make it to the Market Place on Saturday can call the Aylsham Safer Neighbourhood Team on 101 or email sntaylsham@norfolk.pnn.police.uk. Would-be volunteers can also contact Malcolm Pim on 01263 733336, 07900 215733 or email malcdp@yahoo.com
