Video: Nine to Five fun as businesses burst into song for quirky tribute to musical heading to Norwich

Businesses across the city have been bursting into song for a quirky tribute to a musical heading to Norwich.

The show 9 to 5 The Musical will be at Norwich Theatre Royal later this month, and ahead of its visit the theatre has shot a video of the well-known title song starring staff from many organisations across the city.

Some of the team from the EDP and Norwich Evening News are among the cast, along with staff from Norwich Theatre Royal, The Assembly House, The Gym, The Waffle House, Visit Norwich, The Business Improvement District and Norwich 99.9 FM.

The musical stars Natalie Casey, Jackie Clune and Mark Moraghan and opens at Norwich Theatre Royal on February 25.

It is based on the hit movie that centres on three office workers who turn the tables on their sexist boss, and features original numbers from Dolly Parton’s Oscar, Tony® and Grammy Award nominated score including Backwoods Barbie, Shine Like the Sun and, of course, the hit song 9 to 5.
