The water is back on in Norwich and surrounding areas, after engineers from Anglian Water fixed a pump that had failed.
There were reports that people in the NR1 area of central Norwich, plus consumers in Taverham and Costessey, on the outskirts of the city, had no water this morning.
But an Anglian Water spokesman said that engineers had been working to restore the water, and everything was back to normal before 8am.
A spokesman said: “A pump failed which caused the loss of water but it was fixed before 8am. I’m not sure exactly how long people were without water, but I don’t think it was too long.”
