East Midlands Trains put out a warning to passengers at 4.15pm via its Twitter feed, @EMTrains.

The problems are effecting passengers travelling on the Norwich to Liverpool Lime Street route, which includes stops at Grantham, Nottingham, and Manchester.

Network Rail engineers are working on the signalling problems, which will mean services will be delayed.

  • This looks like yet another great success for Network Rail. Millions of pounds spent on a new signalling which was installed months late and has been plagued with problems. Doesn't give us much hope for the future of East Anglia's railways.
