A teenager has been taken to hospital after a motorbike accident in Hellesdon this morning.

A rapid response car and ambulaunce were sent to the incident outside Hellesdon High School just after 8am.

It blocked the A1067 both ways between Drayton High Road junction and the Reepham Road junction and caused rush hour delays.

The biker’s injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

  • What is an ambulaunce? Proof reading is always advisable before pressing submit.

  • RoadWarrior - it's a 20mph zone outside Hellesdon High School, so the injuries shouldn't be too severe (it does say "not life threatening". From personal experience, it'll range from bruising (if they were wearing proper motorbike gear) to torn flesh (if not wearing proper gear) to broken bones (doesn't matter what gear). If it's bruisingbreaks then they'll soon heal. If they weren't wearing motorbike gear then they've brought any injuries on themselves. Wear the Right Gear Every Time!

  • Not only that, but the A1067 IS the Drayton High Road. Surely they mean "It blocked Middleton's Lane both ways between Drayton High Road (A1067) and Reepham Road"?
