Police are appealing for information after a serious crash between a lorry and a car at Ovington this morning.

It happened around 11.05am at the junction between Dereham Road and Saham Road in Ovington, near Watton.

The junction was blocked while an investigation got under way and the vehicles were recovered – but it is now open again.

The lorry had overturned and the East of England Air Ambulance and three land ambulances were at the scene.

Three people were taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

The lorry driver has the most serious injuries and he was taken to hospital in the air ambulance.

The female car driver suffered less serious injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision should contact Wymondham Roads Policing on 101.
